5 Reasons Our Estimate Might be higher than Other Shops
-
Martin’s Body Shop will always write as accurately as possible.
Other shops will simply write a “Cheap” estimate or undercut others just to get the job. Once they get the sale, they then add what should have been on the initial estimate. Our goal is to be as accurate as possible to help YOU make a smart decision. This also helps our team(s) prepare for your repair to move through our processes more efficiently.
-
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts
It is important to understand what type of parts were written on your estimate. OEM or parts from a dealer that were manufactured by the vehicle maker. Using these parts is our preference and will always be our recommendation. Aftermarket (A/M) parts are knockoff or imitation parts that are not made by an OEM. Note that these parts are not crash tested as a part of the vehicle systems. LKQ or Used parts are parts from a “Junk Yard” off another vehicle that was totaled for some type of damage previously.
-
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Procedures and Processes
Martin’s Body Shop will always advocate for safe and proper repairs. Much like Home repairs follow “Code”; your vehicle has specific instructions that MUST be followed to ensure that it performs just as it did the day it rolled off the assembly line. We will always follow OEM procedures, recommendations, and requirements.
-
Advanced Training
Our teams have all advanced training to ensure proper care is taken while working on your vehicle. New Cars, Trucks, and SUVs have many electronic systems that can be damaged when proper care is not taken. Knowing what to do and when is critical to your repair.
