About

Martin’s Body Shop

Martin’s Body Shop has proudly served Southern Indiana for more than 50 years.

Our story began in 1971 when Dave Martin opened Martin’s Body Shop behind the feed mill in Ramsey, Indiana. As the business grew, Martin’s relocated to a larger facility on Highway 64 and continued building a reputation for quality repairs, honest service, and strong customer relationships.

Just one year later, in 1972, Tom Ragland opened Clarksville Collision Center in
Clarksville, Indiana. While operating independently, both businesses spent decades serving their communities, earning the trust of customers, and building reputations for quality craftsmanship and service.

In 2004, Martin’s moved into its current 20,000-square-foot repair facility in New
Salisbury, expanding its capabilities and investing in advanced repair technology and training.

In 2019, Doug Martin became the second-generation owner of Martin’s Body Shop, continuing the values and culture established by his father while guiding the company into the future.

In 2020, Martin’s opened its Georgetown location to better serve customers throughout Floyd County and the surrounding communities.

Then, in 2023, after more than 50 years of friendship between Dave Martin and Tom Ragland, Clarksville Collision Center joined the Martin’s family. The transition was not about replacing a legacy, but continuing one built on trust, craftsmanship, and service to the community.

Today, Martin’s Body Shop proudly serves Southern Indiana from locations in New Salisbury, Georgetown, and Clarksville while continuing to invest in the people, training, and technology required to repair today’s vehicles safely and properly.
